I was way too excited to do this review. For years I have lusted after longline bras/bra tops, but found that I couldn’t even dream of finding one to accommodate my 30G’s, without risking some serious slip ups in public. So when these elusive beauties started appearing in Autumn/Winter collections last year, I could barely contain my excitement. And it was only a matter of time before the brilliant Brastop started stocking these. Could I be any happier? Probably not! First to fill me with absolute glee is the Gossard …

Now it’s not often I’ll change my mind about a bra. If at first sight I’m not keen, it’s rare that I’m proved wrong. And whilst I didn’t hate this bra, it didn’t exactly jump out and steal my heart as I browsed the Brastop website. But oh how wrong I was…

Bra: Rebecca in black by Bestform.
Review by Curvy Kate model Lauren Colfer.
My size: 30G
When I was asked to review this bra, I was glad to find a basic, functional black bra; something I haven’t purchased in ages.
The first aspect that struck me was that I felt 100% supported; the band is firm, but flexible – so there is no cutting in.
The front of the bra has a lovely rounded shape and the mesh detailing allows for some sexiness, which is nice in a basic bra.
The knickers had the same detailing …

And onto our second review of the day! You’ll be sick of the sight of me soon enough…
We look back at the Showgirl classic, the Thrill Me. This has been a firm favourite with Brastop customers, and we don’t blame you. Who doesn’t love the jewel tone colours and adorable ruffles?! As with any brand, style and fit changes over time, particularly from the original designs. Curvy Kate is still a young company but they’ve been tinkering away to make the fit of every set even better than before! Don’t …

Following on from our recent post about the Perils of Plus Four, we’ve had an email from one of our regular readers and customers (We’ll call her ‘N’ for now).
Basically, N followed our suggestion of visiting a store and trying on a bra based on the bra calculator they offer on their website (where you take a series of underbust and overbust measurements and add four inches to determine your bra size). Conventional size calculators/charts give N a 34D (measurements 29″ underbust, 38½” overbust). This is how she looked in a …

Recently I’ve been going through one of the best lingerie ranges I know, the Curvy Kate showgirl. With the recent addition of the Tempt Me, it seemed only naturally to update the reviews now that the design has been altered and the fit is much more reliable. And with the Thrill Me under my belt, next up comes the Tease Me! With two new Tease Me additions to the Brastop family (Lauren Colfer looking drop dead gorgeous in the almond and baby pink) you lot seem to be quite enamoured …

One of my non-bra related resolutions for the New Year was to exercise more. Not to lose weight – I’m very happy with my curves – but for two reasons. The first being that I am dreadfully unfit and the second that my curves are actually very squidgy. I haven’t got enough will power to go on a diet, and so my 2012 is to get healthy. This was all well and good until I realised that I can’t run for a bus without being in agony, how was I …

Well, it’s official – I am not a true Brastop fan. And do you know why? Because it’s taken me this long to try a Flirtelle bra, the shame! For some reason I just hadn’t gotten round to testing Brastops own brand but thanks to the Focus Group I finally could. It’s not that I went out of my way to ignore them, but with so many bras on offer, sometimes brands and styles fall to the back burner. Now enough excuse making from me, lets get on with the …

Bra: Panache Superbra Ariza in teal/pink
My size: 30G
Fit: I LOVE the fit of this bra. I opted for a 30FF as I find that in Panache bras I’m closer to a FF cup than a G (a 30G can often leave me with a little too much space to warrant wearing it) but that could just be the shape of mine. The back is comfortably snug and after a slight downsize, the cups fit like a dream. The doubled layered half cup means I’m covered but also supported, where I …

Now, I have to confess something – I am a Lepel Fiore addict. Years ago when I decided it was high time my ample-of-chest teenage self actually needed to be fitted correctly, the black balcony Fiore was my first “real” bra, in a 32E. Fast forward a few years (and bra sizes) and its still one of my favourite bras. The fit, for me, is near flawless, and the cut is flattering and practical, so apologies if this review is a bit of a gushing tale of love.
Bra: Fiore full …
