Review – Shock Absorber Max Support in white

Well it’s been a while since my last sports bra review, but I’m getting there! I haven’t been exercising as much as I would like as I had to have a minor op on my eye recently (those who know me will know just how much I whined about wearing an eye patch!) but now that we’re finally seeing some warmer weather, I am heading out more. I’ve been alternating my two sports bras so I can really test them properly. You may remember my Freya Active review? Well after …

Fauve Bethany strapless bra in ivory – Bra of the Week

Over the past few weeks, I’ve selected a white bra as my bra of the week, a Flirtelle bra and a Curvy Kate bra, in addition to a body (and I’ll get on to basques soon), but this week, I thought I would pick out a strapless bra: the Fauve Bethany strapless in ivory.
Strapless bras are one of the must-have items in any girl’s lingerie drawer, because you never know when you’re going to need one. It’s usually when you finally try on a dress you’ve purchased for a special …

Maternity Bras review by Karrisx

Karris, 26, presents a beauty channel on Youtube, where she discusses all things related to fashion and makeup. Here, she reviews some maternity bras currently available on the Brastop website.
Bra: Panache Lorna Support bra

My Size: 32H. I normally wear a 30G but have gone up to a 32H since pregnancy.
Fit: The straps are thick enough to provide support without looking matronly (probably the type of look a new mum wants to avoid!) and the flattering cup shape and pretty lace detailing make it not only comfortable, but nice to look at, …

Curvy Kate Showgirl Tease Me Bra review

Bra: Curvy Kate, Showgirl Tease Me, Black/Lemon
Product description: Tease Me Black/Lemon balcony bra from Showgirl by Curvy Kate. Lightly padded satin cups overlaid with black mesh guarantee support and a gorgeous shape. The rich embroidery and intertwined ribbon complete the sophisticated look.
My size: 30HH
Fit: Curvy Kate bras in the 30HH are always a perfect fit for me. The Tease Me bra gives such a gorgeous shape, it makes you feel very sexy. I love this bra so much for this very reason, it’s hard to get a push-up effect in …

Panache Superbra Tango II in cornflower blue – Bra of the Week

I’m usually known for my love of Curvy Kate, Flirtelle, Fantasie and Freya, but it’s high time I selected a different brand and style from my usual bra picks, which is why my bra of the week this week is the Panache Superbra Tango II balconette bra in cornflower blue.
I do like Panache lingerie, but I don’t have many sets from their range in my massive collection. It’s been a while since I tried this particular bra on, but I decided to give it another go today to offer up my …

Freya Pollyanna in black – review

Now it’s not often I’ll change my mind about a bra. If at first sight I’m not keen, it’s rare that I’m proved wrong. And whilst I didn’t hate this bra, it didn’t exactly jump out and steal my heart as I browsed the Brastop website. But oh how wrong I was…
Bra: Freya Pollyanna in black.
Product description:

Supportive balconette bra styled in silky satin fabric over a luxurious black base.
Decorated with a charming floral print, intricately embroidered lace overlay and delicate petal bow detailing for an elegant touch to the classic look.

Krisline Melody Bra in beige review

Bra: Krisline Melody Bra
Product description: Melody bra by Krisline. Fashionable, underwired padded bra with comfortable, uplifting cups for a flattering fit and shape. Available in a peach/cream finish, decorated with a fine pinstripe/dotted mesh overlay for a vintage look with a splash of elegance. Complimenting floral mesh overlay and fine ribbon bows. Rebecca Bra by Bestform – review by Lauren Colfer

Bra: Rebecca in black by Bestform.
Review by Curvy Kate model Lauren Colfer.
My size: 30G
When I was asked to review this bra, I was glad to find a basic, functional black bra; something I haven’t purchased in ages.
The first aspect that struck me was that I felt 100% supported; the band is firm, but flexible – so there is no cutting in.
The front of the bra has a lovely rounded shape and the mesh detailing allows for some sexiness, which is nice in a basic bra.
The knickers had the same detailing …

Curvy Kate Criss Cross Bra in White – Bra of The Week

White bras. We all need them, we’ve all got them. If you’re anything like me, the chances are, a large proportion of the bras in your underwear drawer are made up of one of two colours: black, and white.
Among the top five bras in my collection is the Curvy Kate White Criss Cross Balconette, for a number of good reasons.
I don’t know what the provenance of white bras are, but it probably stems from white being one of the basic cotton material colours (not requiring dyes or any pattern/colour mixes), …

Curvy Kate Thrill Me in azure and peach review

And onto our second review of the day! You’ll be sick of the sight of me soon enough…
We look back at the Showgirl classic, the Thrill Me. This has been a firm favourite with Brastop customers, and we don’t blame you. Who doesn’t love the jewel tone colours and adorable ruffles?! As with any brand, style and fit changes over time, particularly from the original designs. Curvy Kate is still a young company but they’ve been tinkering away to make the fit of every set even better than before! Don’t …

Curvy Kate Tease Me Review

Recently I’ve been going through one of the best lingerie ranges I know, the Curvy Kate showgirl. With the recent addition of the Tempt Me, it seemed only naturally to update the reviews now that the design has been altered and the fit is much more reliable. And with the Thrill Me under my belt, next up comes the Tease Me! With two new Tease Me additions to the Brastop family (Lauren Colfer looking drop dead gorgeous in the almond and baby pink) you lot seem to be quite enamoured …

Krisline Queen body in white: Brastop Blog Bra of the Week

Okay, so the Krisline Queen body isn’t exactly a bra, but it’s still my bra of the week here at the Brastop Blog.
I think I’ve said before here on the blog that in the dim and distant past, I was once a big fan of bodies. I owned a Marks & Spencer black body a long time ago, and it ended up in tatters because I wore it so often (one of the cups lost its underwire – and I STILL wore it, it was so comfortable). I also have …

Panache Harmony Balconette review

My second review for the Brastop Focus Group focuses on a Panache Harmony Bra
Product description:
- Underwired balconette bra.
- Great support
- Adjustable shoulder straps
- Adjustable back fastening – 3 hooks
- Beautiful elegant embroidery
- “Hugging” cups
- 79% Nylon, 14% Polyester 7% Elastane
- And don’t forget the matching panties!!!
My Size: 36FF
Fit: To be honest I could “feel” this bra when I first tried it on, so I moved from the middle hook on the back fastener to the last hook.  After one wash it felt a bit more flexible so I’ve gone back …

Freya Active Underwired Sports Bra review

One of my non-bra related resolutions for the New Year was to exercise more. Not to lose weight – I’m very happy with my curves – but for two reasons. The first being that I am dreadfully unfit and the second that my curves are actually very squidgy. I haven’t got enough will power to go on a diet, and so my 2012 is to get healthy. This was all well and good until I realised that I can’t run for a bus without being in agony, how was I …

Freya Pollyanna: Brastop Blog bra of the week

I’ve only had the Freya Pollyanna caramel bra for two days, and already I know it’s going to be a firm favourite at the top of my  underwear drawer, which I wasn’t expecting.
You see, it was a gift, and normally, I wouldn’t have chosen a full-cup bra for myself (I prefer balconette), but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at just how good this bra is.
It’s been a while since I’ve regularly worn a Freya bra (I used to be a big fan of Freya and Fantasie – but most of my …

Flirtelle Daisy balconette: Bra of the Week

Back when I started writing here on the Brastop blog, I was sent a bra by (then) relatively unknown brand Flirtelle. I had never heard of them before, and, while the bra looked nice and seemed well-made, I wasn’t sure it would work for me. You know what it’s like – you get accustomed to certain brands, specific styles, patterns and colours – and you find it difficult to make the switch. Well, certainly, I do.
However, I gave it a go, and pretty soon it became one of my favourite …
